Soggy Afternoon Can be Beautiful Too

Today's is a wet and soft afternoon,
With laziness and idyllic posture

All around and many folks in the

Neighborhood Starbucks taking this

slow-moving Sunday as easy as possible.

Falling raindrops, with its punctuating 

Sound on the concrete surface just outside

The front door of the store, make a poet's

Fascination a little more fascinating and 

Their imagination a bit more Romantic.

A tall pike would boost the energy

To think straight, but dream wild, 

And write down the words expressing

A poet's thought processes in a meandering,

But resonating and effusive manner.

Sightseeing a parrot on a tree, I can't

Recollect when I have seen a parrot last time,

I stand up and walk outside to take a more

Adoring look at the bird, whose chirps make 

An otherwise soggy afternoon so beautiful!
