Dictator

All dictators come to power
by promising the working class
That they would be looking after
The plebian's interest with a magnifying glass.

Dictators lie, repeatedly they lie,
To befool the poor and vulnerable,
And once close to the doorstep of power,
Autocrats try to make their fortress impregnable.

Dictators play on the hardship of the poor
And divide the community they rule,
They play on the poor's fear to win power while
Insult the same very people by labeling as fool.

Pitting people against people
Is a strategy that they employ
To ensure complete control over all
Facets of life with shackle they deploy.

All dictators share the same trait:
Unleashing on people the cudgel of oppression.
When met by protest and popular uprising,
Dictators respond by doubling down with repression.

Working class people who might have propelled the
Rise of dictator is the one who has to lose the most,
With misery and deprivation forcing them to suffocate
In the dark echo chamber of autocratic scream and boast.

Eventually dictators fail, so does dictatorship,
Under the avalanche of mass movement,
And in it's place, emerges the kingdom of toiling masses
that would bring a new dawn of societal improvement.
