Humanity loses its meaning when oppressor unleashes their torture,
A torture that may happen in different forms, different shapes--
It may be implicit, or explicit, or in between;
But for sure, oppression leaves a deep scar on our body, psyche and society.
Oppressors are amongst us, often with gentle demeanor, but ruthless heart;
They masquerade their inhumanity with the mask of deception,
A deception often goes unnoticed and underestimated,
But whatever means they try to hide behind the cloak of hypocrisy,
They are oppressors, nothing but oppressors.
An Oppressor can be a leader of a mature democracy,
Or a rich state, with effusing moral compass that
Defines how a refined leader should behave publicly.
Behind that glittering, shiny world of fake transparency,
Lies the dark and cold heart of a dictator who would
Look the other way around as their consiglieres
Perpetrate the vulnerable.
